The words of **Pope Francis on the subject of artificial intelligence** and total automation resonate as a powerful warning in an era where technology is becoming increasingly pervasive and decisive in our lives.

The Pontiff draws attention to the need to keep the human being at the center of the decision-making process, preventing machines from becoming masters of our lives. Indeed, the loss of human control over these technologies threatens not only our autonomy but also our dignity as human beings. 

**The Pope's urgency in calling for meaningful human control over these technologies is not only agreeable but essential to avoid a dystopian drift.** 

Politics must create the conditions for an ethical and fruitful use of artificial intelligence by regulating it appropriately, promoting transparency in decision-making processes, and ensuring effective control mechanisms to prevent abuse. 

**Technology must not become an end in itself, but remain a means to improve our lives.** 

We must prevent AI from imposing uniform models of understanding reality, excluding other forms of truth and cultural diversity. Artificial intelligence must be a bulwark against technocracy, not its instrument. 

**The Pope's message is an invitation to deep reflection on the future we want to build.** 

A future where artificial intelligence is at the service of humanity, not its master. A future where technology helps us live better, without stripping us of our autonomy and dignity. 

**The challenge is great, but not impossible.**

If we can face this challenge with wisdom and responsibility, artificial intelligence can be a powerful tool for the progress and well-being of humanity.
