About Me
I'm Luca Carbone, born in 1982 and from Lugano. I live between Lugano and Estonia. I write about digital topics for those who want to understand, decide, and use technology better.
For over twenty years I've worked in ICT and telecommunications. I started very early, in the field. Technics, clients, real problems. I'm co-founder of Swistel Group, active nationally and internationally in business support.
Technology for me means one precise thing. Solutions that work. Simple processes. Informed decisions.
Since 2019 I split my work between Ticino and Estonia. A country that has built a concrete, efficient, everyday digital state. Here I develop projects connecting Switzerland and Northern Europe, with a clear focus on applied innovation, zero bureaucracy, and truly usable digital services.
Alongside entrepreneurial activity, I write. I'm a journalist registered with EAL and curate the digiTIAMO column in Il Mattino della Domenica. Every week I translate digital into practical examples, without unnecessary jargon.
digiTIAMO was born with a precise goal. Making digital understandable. Useful. Within reach of those who work, manage a business, or simply live in the present.
Over time I've also held a diplomatic role. An experience that strengthened my international vision and the value of relationships built over time.
I've been active for almost twenty years in the Round Table of Lugano, a non-profit service association. A journey that taught me leadership, responsibility, and attention to the community.
In 2023 I ran for the Grand Council with the Lega dei Ticinesi. An intense, concrete experience that brought me face to face with the territory and its needs.
Today I continue to move between technology, information, and people. With a direct approach. Pragmatic. Fact-oriented.
I also created the WhatsApp community digiTIAMO. Every Sunday an article. Zero spam. Useful content, period.
If you're interested in digital explained well, you're in the right place.
